gems

So C and I are just tireddd;
tired of waiting for our nails to dry
only to find out five seconds later
(after all that waiting, blowing and
panic attack-like hand waving)
that the nails were not actually dry
but just in that fake-out period
that inevitably ends in massive smudges and
which may account for the
massive amounts of acetone I go through.

Anyway, on my quest to find the perfect polish
I came across this little gem

Essence from Ulta

So the advertising on the display says
  "drys in one second"!
and I'm thinking "Whattttt, if it's too good to be true...".
Needless to say I bought a few anyway
( at 99 cents a bottle(!) I felt a little kelpto ).

Guess what,
IT ACTUALLY DOES DRY IN ONE SECOND!
well, by the time you're done with the last nail
on your hand the others are all dry,
and more importantly bump-proof.
The quick-dry clear coat I use on top
takes longer to dry than this stuff!
To make it even better it lasts about an entire week
 without chipping! Insanity.

Oh and the colors are awesome.
Thank you Essence,
for your innovation and perfection.
Paying $7.00 for OPI or other random brands
 seems a bit ridiculous now.

Goodbye COD MW2, it was awful getting to know you.

pretty little liars

Anyone else extremely bothered
by the fact that her finger is offset?
Frankly, she looks like she just got caught picking her nose.

Every single time I see the intro
I hope the shhh will be centered,
but it never ever is.
aye.

need to travel faster than the speed of light?

no problem!
just squeeze the space in front of you and expand the space behind of you;
simple enough right?

how about you explain how in the world you plan to do that history channel? how 'bout that.

and what kinda consequences are we talking here?
Seems like you probably shouldn't mess with the universe, especially when y'all think that rapid expansion/contraction is the 'how' of the big bang theory. what happens when we expand the space behind us and it somehow destabilizes our planet and we're thrown our of orbit? I dunno man, sounds like a rough day to me.

ah knowledge, you always leave me with more questions than I had to begin with

Eagle Nebula

Scientists think that about 1 in a 1,000,000 planets in our solar system might contain intelligent life; however, what if you bend our definition of life? What if life on another planet doesn't subsist on water and oxygen? What if life on another planet isn't carbon based? What if life develops on another planet that's able to withstand, what we would consider, temperature extremes? I mean, it seems pretty narrow minded to think that life couldn't exist on another planet simply because the conditions aren't ideal for us. Right?

On another note:
Did you see the man in the picture above?
That's a real picture of the Eagle Nebula!

Looks like a man with a very clear face holding his hands out,
or at least I think it does : )

cornball

I like making mud pies and feeling the sunshine,
I like cool October nights and shooting stars,
guns, kittens, and fluffy pink mittens,
going fast, moving slow,
feeling the oceans ebb and flow.
I like video games, pictures, and staying up late,
I love looking for couples on their very first date.
I want to fly to far off exotic places,
ride the biggest ride,
and live my life before I've died.
