fairy tales

fairy tales are for little girls,
and very foolish women.

happily ever after
requires that you make it to the ever after.

magic tricks, much like Prince Charming's words,
are designed to trick your mind;
never trust a magician

nose-diving expectations and squelched dreams
is where it's at.
let down's are the thing to really put your faith in.

NJ Housewives

Elvira Joins the Real Houswives of New Jersey Cast

It’s been informally announced that Elvira Grau will be the newest housewife on the cast and that she should be making her first appearance in tomorrow night’s episode. But count on the addition of this particular castmate to keep that drama train running full steam. Elvira, a Russian immigrant, owns two of New Jersey’s hottest entertainment venues. We caught a sneak peak of one of her businesses during Teresa’s daughter’s birthday party and the other one, Space Odyssey, is hosting Teresa’s book party tonight.

She better be as awesome as Dina 'cause the last thing this show needs is more drama.

Smith, Stephen A. Smith

Stephen A Smith - On the view:

"It's impossible to get to any solution because you have politicians that are interested in their own agendas instead of what's in the best interest of the country. That's why you have the left acting the way that they do, that's why you have the right acting the way that they do, they're not thinking about the American people as much as they are thinking about themselves and we are desperately craving somebody that's standing before us that we know for a fact is thinking about the best interests of the United States."

Hear that ladies of The View? Your incessant nit-picking at the other party's president is not actually helping anyone. You're just making yourselves look ridiculous because you can't see for ONE second that these Presidents are still human and that there is only so much they can do given the information that they have and the amount of baloney they are forced to deal with on a regular basis. Fancy that.

Justin Bieber - Never Say Never ft. Jaden Smith

Yea I know it's a Justin B song but skip to 2:05 - Jayden Smith's face while he's rapping (and pretty well in my opinion) is priceless.

this article's a bit salty

Americans eat far more sodium per day than health guidelines recommend, which over time can cause high blood pressure, heart disease, and other health problems.
"There are supertasters and non-tasters," Hayes adds. "Supertasters live in a neon taste world -- everything is bright and vibrant. For non-tasters, everything is pastel. Nothing is ever really intense."
In fact, just the opposite may be true: A new study suggests that you may love salt because you're a "supertaster" -- a person who experiences tastes such as saltiness and bitterness more intensely than other people do.
For instance, salt helps cancel out bitterness, one of the sensations that supertasters experience in Technicolor. This may explain why the supertasters in the study perceived the low-sodium cheddar cheese to be twice as bitter as the Cracker Barrel, and liked it far less than the other study participants did.

so world, this is why British food is "bland" - our taste buds are just more refined than yours - yea, let that sink in ya crazy spiced-up foreigners

Say whattt

Here I was all this time thinking that water was just tasteless by nature
(and by tasteless I mean lacking in taste, and not like that comment yo momma made 'bout that old chicks blue wiglet... although you could argue that both the comment and the wig also lack taste).
Did you know?
Unlike dogs, pigs, and some other mammals, humans cannot taste water. They taste only the chemicals and impurities in the water.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey

In the wake of an announcement by Bravo that one of the stars of The Real Housewives of New Jersey will be leaving the show for good, it’s looking more and more like that Housewife is Dina Manzo.

And while viewers have seen much less of Manzo this season, she’s also made it clear that she’s become increasingly uncomfortable with the attention — and the drama — that comes with being a Housewife.

“I don’t like drama. I’ve never had drama in my life. I grew up with a great family and very protected. So I’m not used to that,” she told PEOPLE at the start of season 2. “I never even had a fight with my girlfriends ever. It’s so not me to be confrontational. If I meet someone and they rub me the wrong way, I just don’t engage from there on in.”

    trouble in Jersey paradise

    http://admatch-syndication.mochila.com

    What happened to cash payments
for enormous amounts of fancy foreign furniture?
What happened to thousands on children’s clothes?

    House = Foreclosed.
    Oops.

    Chace

    If you ask me,
this is not exactly worthy of being called a mug-shot.

He looks like he's just come from the set of a
    fabulous international spy movie -
who’s possibly had the unfortunate luck
of being captured and held hostage
in the sauna we call Florida.

everyone knows how sketchy Lowes is

    How does this even happen?

I mean, if something's gonna go down
and you'll be needing that handgun
to take care of those unpredictably volatile light fixtures,
then at least buy a freakin' holster.
    geeez.

    Shakespeare

Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O, no! it is an ever-fixed mark,
    That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
    Within his bending sickle's compass come;
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

    Vitamins

Getting a little obssessed with vitamins over here,

    Vitamins:
    1. Vitamin A - vision, bone growth, reproduction, cell division, cell differentiation, lymphocyte production & the immune system; promotes healthy surface linings of the eyes and the respiratory, urinary, intestinal tracts, skin and mucous membranes (RDA 3000 IU male, 2,310 IU female, both age 19+) (fat soluable) (also can be used topically - wrinkles and such)
    2. Vitamin B12 - metabolism, required for proper red blood cell formation, neurological function, and DNA synthesis (RDA 2.4 mcgs, adults) (water soluable)
    3. Vitamin C - also called L-ascorbic acid, required for the biosynthesis of collagen, L-carnitine, and certain neurotransmitters;  involved in protein metabolism, helps produce Collagen (connective tissue, which plays a vital role in wound healing). physiological antioxidant & regenerate other antioxidants within the body. Ongoing research is examining whether vitamin C, by limiting the damaging effects of free radicals through its antioxidant activity, might help prevent or delay the development of certain cancers, cardiovascular disease, and other diseases associtated with oxidative stress  (DRA 90mg male, 75 mg female age 19+)
    4. Vitamin E - antioxidant, anti-inflammatory processes, inhibition of platelet aggregation, and immune enhancement; works against heart disease, cancer, eye disorders, and cognitive decline (among current smokers and men who had quit, (vitamin E intakes of more than 400 IU/day were associated with a statistically significant 71% reduction in the risk of advanced prostate cancer) (may delay or prevent age-related macular degeneration and cateracts) (DRI adults 22.4 IU, Upper Intake Levels 1500 IU) (fat soluable) can also be used topically
    5. Vitamin D3 - essential for bone health & calcium absorption, modulation of neuromuscular and immune function and reduction of inflammation, (DRI 200 IU, UL ) (fat soluable)
    6. Omega 3 - fish oil x 2 - good for cardio vascular health, lower blood triglyceride levels, normalizes heart rate and blood flow, good for joint lubrication, possible cognitive benefits
    7. Green Tea Extract - may help protect against or slow the growth of certain cancers, mental alertness, possible aid in weight loss, lowering blood cholesterol levels, & protection for the skin from sun damage
