Just today I've:
- seen a man hit a parked car with his lexus and drive away
- seen a story on the local news about a little girl who was kidnapped while walking home from school - an investigation found her body in a garbage truck
- learned that someone hacked into my friends myspace
- gotten another 2 scam letters from craigslist - these are the email addresses of the scammers - naturalearth9200@gmail.com (a scammer who is abroad and buying this laptop for a collegue as their laptop crashed and they got one for her when t happened to her last month) AND captbrendawhite@mail.com (a scammer who would like to aquire my item for more than the listed price)

ReplyDeletewas he visiting his sick grandmother as well?
lol i got that one
Thanks for your reply and am glad to know that it is still available for sale. However i have few questions on the product you are selling.
ReplyDelete1,I would like to know the reason you are selling it?
2,What is the current condition of the item ?
3,What is your firm price, though am okay with the listing price ?
4,Do you have the original box and the receipt for it ?
5,Do you mind if i pay you through paypal even though i would cover the shipping because am currently not local at the moment,I am out of town to visit my sick grandma and i would like to purchase this item on behalf of my colleague as a replacement for her crashed computer because she did the same when i lost mine too.
If you do not have a PayPal account, you can do so by going to www.PayPal.com and set up your account it is free, easy and guarantees transaction safety.Once you send me your paypal email account, I will send you the payment for your item as well as $100 USD to cover shipping via USPS EXPRESS MAIL INTL.
I would be glad if my request is favorably considered.
Thanks" that was from but the original inquiry was sent from
I can't remember, but I'm sure he was! They prey on kind people. Ugh, disgusting.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your experience!
Hope this helped!

ReplyDeletewow I glad I google emails.... I'm trying to sell on craiglist and they sent the email from above crazy ppl these days wasting my time!
ReplyDeleteI'm just glad people aren't falling for it! The first time it happened I nearly did!
ReplyDeleteYes I got kayclef2000 too. I sent the following reply:
ReplyDeleteHey awesome! That sounds perfect! It's yours.
I'll package it up as soon as I pay this holding fee for my money this Nigerian prince notified me belongs to me. Everyone on this interweb thing is amazing! Tell you what, forget paypal, just mail me a cashier's check, or even a personal check should be fine. I mean, with your grandma sick I'd hate to force you to make a trip to your printer... er bank.
PS Would you like to buy a car too?
Ah that's amazing!
ReplyDeletethey totally deserve it :)
they just try to get me
ReplyDeletekayclef2000@googlemail.com is trying to buy my Tmobile Dash right now. Same story...
ReplyDeletekayclef2000@googlemail.com is trying to buy my macbook pro on craigslist .. exactly the same story.
ReplyDeletegeez kayclef2000 needs to be shut down!
ReplyDeletekayclef2000 is trying to buy my wedding ring set with the SAME exact email above...WOW! I also think this is the exact same person thats tried to buy it from me a while back under a different name/email address. I'm new to Craigslist and Paypay so I don't know, but I'm just wondering...if they plan to send me the money for the item...how is it a scam??? I would never send them the ring unless I had the money first, so I don't get it?! I mean, once Paypal gets the money, wouldn't that be confirmed, they can't get their money back, can they? Either way, people are RUDE!!!
ReplyDeleteI had the same question on another post and this is the answer I recieved:

I was selling a wedding ring set and got her list of questions and I answered them then 2 seconds after she was asking for my paypal. I googled her email and found all this. Thank you so much for the info. I knew something was not quite right but most likely would have went through with the sell. Thanks.
ReplyDeletekayclef2000@ is at it again folks!!!! We have wedding rings on craigs list, and kayclef200@ started sending me exactly the same emails listed above, same wording, same everything, AND begging to pay more than the asking price!
ReplyDeleteWow got the same posting from kaycle2000@ wanting to buy my wedding ring. wut a scam. don't trust it even if it is through paypal you never know what people are capable of now days with the technology out there.
ReplyDeletekayclef2000 is still at it. Just got an email asking the same info about the item. I never sell an item unless I have cash in hand but I had to check to see if it was a scam, of course it was.
ReplyDeleteJust happened to me! It kind of sounded too good to be true, but I really wanted the money. Thanks for posting this!! I had a feeling something was off. So pushy and wayyyy to wi
