yet another

Sorry I know this is getting old but
I kind of feel obligated to report
these people so decent people
don't get taken -
so I'm going to keep posting the
email add. and the message -
pretty sure they must have
message templates.
ALSO if you think it's too good to be true
... it is.

jnharris41@hotmail.com - SCAMMER
I am interested in buying your item and sending to my Grandsonthat recently traveled to abroad (Nigeria) for a researchprogram. Also,I will pay you $1,000 for the payment includingshipping of this item. This item is to be shipped directly fromyou to Grandson address at abroad via Usps Express Mail Service (EMS) .My mode of payment isPayPal.Kindly close the auction and get back to me with yourpayment details so i can make the payment asap. Thanks

to be fair,
I have gotten some legit offers from craigslist
but they generally try to get it for less
or trade you for something worse.
It's human nature to look out for yourself
so don't believe that someone will pay you
$300 more than the asking price for shipping.
In real life, it ain't gonna happen.

I am interested in finding out HOW they
rip you off using your paypal account.
Let me know.
I figure they just get your email add.
and clog your email up with spam?
Dunno.

Have a good weekend!
and don't get scammed!

K.

  7. Me To for an Xbox 360.
They are pretty good, but I am an IT guy, so I spotted their mistakes right off the bat.
I sent them a PayPal Invoice, but the email "from Paypal" shows like it was an ebay auction.

    Here is his reply,

    " Hi,
    Thanks for replying,

Sort of fishy when I noticed her email on craigs is rosebrandon01@gmail.com and for paypal it is rosebrandon05@yahoo.com. was gonna ship my item today but I had a gut feeling. This nut job had me for a fool for a while...took me 2 days to realize I should search the emails online. Thanks to this site I am now secured from making a big mistake and losing my product.

  21. Thanks! got an email from dianajow3@gmail.com.
person states wants to buy my car using paypal.. then when I asked her if I can have some contact information of the person who will pick up my car, she states " her agent" is in the united kingdom. Then goes off about how her agent needs $600 as a commission fee, and she can't pay that fee because she is out to sea... gosh I hate these kind of people.

  24. Amazed that i was able to find this before i attempted to ship a netbook to jenniferclay1@gmail.com in nigeria. Like others here said the person will usually pay alot more than you are asking for an item and ask for it to be shipped to a place far out of the us.
Big thanks for making this list.

  28. Thank you! They even sent me a fake email from paypal saying that a deposit has been made. It also says that it will not show until I respond to a non-paypal email address with my tracking number. Ha. whatever, should have known it was fake from the mistakes in spelling on the fake paypal email.

Also, not sure if this is from the same issue, but my gmail account went crazy today as well, I did make the mistake of giving this person my paypal email which is my gmail. Gmail caught most of the emails that were spam from my account, but I am sure some made it out. Really makes me mad. DONT EVEN REPLY TO THESE PEOPLE!!

  29. Sorry, just got this email. Has strange characters in the address bar so I assume it is fake as well. thought I would share.

We request for the Scanned Receipt and the Tracking Number to prove postage of the item in less than 24hours and we will fund the money into your account or face the consequences of LEGAL ACTION.
This is done in other to protect both the seller and buyer.
